The Hershey Bears!!!

A couple of days after Thanksgiving, a friend of ours had some sweet tickets to the Hershey Bears game, and she couldn't use them so she gave them to us!! They were in the third row, just a few seats away from the penalty box, it was amazing!!!!
With Coco the Bear, before the game
Excited about our awesome seats!!
It was the boys' and my first ever hockey game, so Cameron explained a lot about what was going on to us. We didn't know if we would make it past the first period because of the boys, but they were troopers and we stayed the whole game!! Caleb got pretty tired by the end, but Samuel enjoyed the whole thing, and now wants to be a hockey player!! My dad suggested we check with his other grandpa (the dentist) before we enroll him in hockey lessons... ;0)
Since we were right next to the rink, every time the players would smash up against the side of the rink the boys would jump a mile high! It was pretty funny. I didn't realize that hockey players actually do fight so much, it was pretty funny. They didn't look nearly as wussy as baseball players fighting... ;0) The sad thing is that we had a couple of really awful referees, and the Bears ended up losing to the Monsters 5-4. The final goal happened with less than 2 minutes left of the game, and it was a very questionable goal. But it was still a ton of fun, we had a great time. I think a few new hockey fans were born!! :0)

I watched a few minutes of a hockey game on TV once and was surprised by how much I LOVED it. Since then, I've always thought of myself as a hockey fan in seed, just waiting to blossom some day.

So I'm not surprised that you enjoyed the game! But I'm glad you had a great time!
